Founded by Carl Hagenaeur, wHw was a family business in Vienna that produced fine, hand-crafted objects from 1898 - 1987. Carl's sons Franz and Karl joined the business and both became renowned designers in their own right, helping wHw win gold medals in the World Fair of 1927, 1937 and 1958. The company's premises in Vienna survives today as a museum and shop.
